Description
- An HR Specialist manages daily human resources operations, focusing on talent acquisition, onboarding, benefits administration, and compliance.
- They serve as the primary link between management and employees, implementing policies, conducting performance reviews, and maintaining employee records to support a positive, productive workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruiting & Staffing: Conducting full-cycle recruitment, including screening, interviewing, and placing candidates.
- Onboarding & Orientation: Preparing documentation, welcoming new hires, and facilitating orientation sessions.
- Benefits & Compensation: Supervising salary packages, managing insurance plans, and responding to employee questions.
- Employee Relations & Compliance: Interpreting labor laws, mediating disputes, and ensuring legal compliance with policies.
- Records Management: Maintaining accurate, confidential digital and physical employee files.
- Performance Management: Assisting with performance evaluation processes and training initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience: Usually 3–5+ years in HR roles.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, discretion with confidential information, and conflict resolution skills.
- Certifications: Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM-CP is often preferred.
