Dispatch Officer
Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos
About this role
- Gourmet Twist is seeking a highly organized and proactive Dispatch Officer to coordinate the seamless delivery of our orders to customers across Lagos.
- You will serve as the primary link between our production team and third-party delivery partners to ensure that every order is dispatched promptly and reaches our customers in perfect condition.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor the daily dispatch of food orders to ensure timely delivery to customers.
- Manage relationships and communication with third-party delivery services and independent riders.
- Verify order accuracy and packaging quality before handing over items to dispatch riders.
- Track all outgoing deliveries in real-time and provide updates to the customer service team regarding delays or issues.
- Resolve delivery-related complaints and logistics bottlenecks efficiently to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate logs of delivery costs, dispatch times, and rider performance metrics.
Requirements
- OND or BSc in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in logistics coordination or dispatch management, preferably within the food and beverage industry.
- Strong knowledge of Lagos road networks and geographical locations to optimize delivery routing.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment.
- Proficiency in using basic office software and delivery tracking applications.
Nice to Have:
- Prior experience working specifically with third-party logistics (3PL) providers in Nigeria.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and handling requirements for perishable goods.
- Training in customer relationship management.
