Nursery Teacher (Montessori)

Locations: Victoria Island & Ikoyi, Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a warm, patient, and dedicated Montessori Nursery Teacher to nurture and support the early development of our pupils in a structured and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver teaching activities in line with approved Montessori schemes, lesson plans, and school policies
  • Monitor pupils’ learning and provide feedback to improve teaching effectiveness
  • Identify pupils with additional learning needs and collaborate with the Remedial Teacher to provide support
  • Maintain a well-managed, disciplined, and positive classroom environment
  • Provide pastoral care and support the overall development of each child
  • Assess and grade pupils’ work, including tests and classroom activities
  • Track and report on individual pupil progress and achievements
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with parents through regular communication

Requirements

  • Qualification in Montessori Education or Early Childhood Education from a recognised higher institution.
  • Diploma in Montessori from a certified and approved center (or willingness to commence the programme)
  • Experience working with nursery-aged children
  • Child-friendly, patient, and nurturing personality
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with good diction
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
