Finance Officer
Location: Ojota / Ogudu, Lagos

Responsibilities
- The Finance Officer is responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accurate reporting, supporting budgeting processes, and maintaining compliance with financial regulations.
- The role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and a solid foundation in accounting principles.
- Candidates must have commenced professional certification with Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of all transactions
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
Budgeting & Cost Control:
- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets
- Track expenditures and ensure alignment with approved budgets
- Provide cost analysis and recommend cost-saving measures
Accounts Payable & Receivable:
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts efficiently
- Monitor receivables and follow up on outstanding payments
- Ensure timely settlement of vendor obligations
Compliance & Audit Support:
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and tax requirements
- Support internal and external audit processes by providing required documentation
- Maintain proper filing systems for audit trails
Payroll & Statutory Deductions:
- Assist in payroll preparation and processing
- Ensure accurate computation and remittance of PAYE, pension, and other statutory deductions 6. Financial Analysis & Advisory
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making
- Prepare variance analysis and management reports
- Support financial planning and forecasting activities
Internal Controls & Risk Management:
- Implement and maintain internal control procedures
- Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies
- Ensure adherence to approved financial processes
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Must have started professional certification with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN)
- 2–4 years relevant experience in finance or accounting
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High level of integrity and attention to detail
Salary
N80,000 - N100,000 per month.
