Logistics Assistant

Role overview
- The Logistics Assistant supports day-to-day logistics, inventory control, and service-centre administration in Ikeja. The role focuses on accurate handling of spare parts, dependable stock records, and smooth coordination of inbound and outbound movements.
- You’ll work closely with engineers and other Hinckley locations to meet OEM processes and service-level agreements (SLAs) across HP, Dell, Lenovo, and Canon service operations
Key responsibilities
Inventory and parts management:
- Receive parts and equipment, check quantities/condition, and log receipts promptly.
- Keep stock records accurate across the inventory and CRM systems.
- Track part movements (inbound, outbound, and internal transfers) and maintain a clear audit trail.
- Store and label items correctly so parts are easy to locate and issue.
- Run routine cycle counts and support full stock takes; investigate and reconcile variances.
- Monitor minimum stock levels and escalate replenishment needs in good time.
Logistics coordination:
- Coordinate parts shipments between Ikeja and other locations (Port Harcourt, Abuja, Lekki, and Ibadan).
- Arrange dispatch and receipt of defective parts and support the returns process.
- Prepare waybills and other shipment documents, ensuring packaging meets required standards.
- Track deliveries and follow up on delays to protect SLA commitments.
Systems and administration:
- Update CRM and inventory records in real time, with a focus on accuracy.
- File and maintain documentation needed for OEM reporting, compliance, and audits.
- Produce routine reports on stock levels, parts usage, and turnaround times.
- Provide general administrative support to the service operations team as required.
Compliance and security:
- Follow OEM procedures and documentation standards for HP, Dell, Lenovo, and Canon.
- Maintain secure, controlled storage and reduce the risk of loss, damage, or misplacement.
- Support internal and external audits by providing accurate records and timely responses.
- Work in line with service standards and SLAs, escalating issues when requirements are at risk.
Operational support:
- Issue parts to engineers and service staff and keep allocations properly recorded.
- Move, arrange, and track inventory within the service centre as needed.
- Keep the store area clean, safe, and well organised.
Key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Inventory accuracy.
- SLA performance for parts handling and dispatch.
- Turnaround time for parts allocation and shipments.
- Compliance with OEM processes and audit requirements.
- Reduction in stock discrepancies and losses.
Key requirements
Education and experience:
- OND / HND / Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1–3 years’ experience in logistics, inventory, or warehouse operations.
- Experience in IT hardware, service centres, or technical environments is an advantage.
Skills and competencies:
- High attention to detail and a consistently accurate approach to records.
- Comfortable using CRM and inventory management tools.
- Working knowledge of basic logistics and supply chain processes.
- Well organised, with solid record-keeping habits.
- Able to prioritise tasks, manage time, and meet deadlines.
- Clear communicator who coordinates effectively across teams and locations.
Physical requirements:
- Able to lift and move equipment and parts safely.
- Comfortable with active, hands-on work within an office/service-centre environment.
Salary
N150,000 monthly.
