Accountant
Location: Abuja (FCT)

What you’ll do
- Manage payables and receivables – ensure suppliers and customers are reconciled, payments are timely, and bad debt is minimized.
- Handle budgeting and forecasting – build monthly/quarterly forecasts, track actuals vs budget, and flag variances early.
- Oversee tax compliance – prepare and file VAT, CIT, PAYE, and other statutory returns accurately and on time.
- Support audits – prepare schedules, liaise with internal and external auditors, and close gaps fast.
- Maintain accurate ledgers – manage general ledger, fixed assets, inventory valuation, and month-end close.
- Provide financial insights – deliver reports to management that explain what’s happening and what to do next.
Requirements
- Proven experience in FMCG wholesale and retail accounting. You understand margins, stock movement, and trade discounts.
- Solid grasp of forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
- Working knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and filings.
- Experience with full audit cycles and year-end processes.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel. SAP, QuickBooks, or Zoho experience is a plus.
Salary
N300,000 - N350,000 per month.
