Junior Truck Driver

Job Summary
- We are seeking reliable and responsible Junior Drivers to support the transportation and operational needs of a leading manufacturing company.
- Successful candidates will be required to drive within Lagos and across different states in Nigeria, with occasional opportunities for longer-distance and cross-border assignments.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive company vehicles safely and responsibly.
- Transport personnel, goods, materials, and other assigned items.
- Drive within Lagos and undertake interstate journeys as required.
- Assist with transportation requirements between different company locations.
- Occasionally undertake approved trips to neighboring African countries.
- Maintain good knowledge of Lagos roads and major routes.
- Conduct basic vehicle checks before commencing journeys.
- Report vehicle faults and maintenance issues immediately.
- Keep assigned vehicles clean and properly maintained.
- Comply with all road traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Maintain professionalism when dealing with company personnel, customers, vendors, and members of the public.
- Assist with loading and unloading of goods when required.
- Maintain trip and vehicle records where applicable.
- Perform other driving-related duties assigned by management.
Requirements
- Minimum of an SSCE/WAEC/NECO or equivalent.
- Valid Nigerian driver's licence.
- Previous professional driving experience is required.
- Must have a minimum of 5–6 years of residence in Lagos.
- Must currently reside in Lagos State.
- Strong knowledge of Lagos routes and road networks.
- Ability and willingness to drive interstate across Nigeria.
- Willingness to undertake occasional long-distance and cross-border trips.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of road safety regulations.
- Must be reliable, punctual, disciplined, and responsible.
- Good communication skills and professional conduct.
- Ability to work flexible schedules when required.
Generla Conditions
Selected candidates must:
- Be willing to work according to the company's operational schedule.
- Be available for interstate assignments across Nigeria.
- Be willing to undertake occasional international trips to neighboring African countries when required.
- Maintain strict compliance with road safety and company policies.
- Demonstrate honesty, integrity, punctuality, and professionalism.
- Provide valid identification and relevant driving documentation during the recruitment process.
- Successfully pass the company's screening and verification process.
- Be available for physical assessment/interview when invited.
Salary
N150,000 - N170,000 monthly.
