About the Role
- We are seeking a highly competent and detail-oriented Accountant to manage the financial operations of a bar, restaurant, or lounge.
- The ideal candidate should have 6–8 years of relevant accounting experience, with proven experience in the hospitality industry, particularly in a bar, restaurant, lounge, or similar business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting and financial transactions.
- Monitor and reconcile daily sales and revenue.
- Reconcile cash, POS, transfers, and other payment channels.
- Maintain accurate records of income, expenses, invoices, payments, and receipts.
- Prepare financial statements and management reports.
- Monitor cash flow, expenditure, budgets, and business performance.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Monitor food, beverage, and operational costs.
- Support inventory and stock-control processes.
- Identify financial discrepancies, leakages, and control weaknesses.
- Ensure tax and statutory compliance.
- Support payroll and financial administration.
- Assist with audits and financial reviews.
- Analyse financial data and provide management with useful insights.
- Work closely with management and operations to improve cost control and profitability.
Requirements
- Degree / HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 6–8 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Proven experience working in a bar, restaurant, lounge, or similar hospitality business is required.
- Professional Qualification: Chartered Accountant (ACA or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and taxation.
- Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong integrity and ability to handle confidential financial information.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

- Salary: N180,000 – N250,000 monthly, depending on experience and suitability.
