Job Summary
- We are urgently seeking an experienced and commercially minded Procurement & Business Development Executive to join our team in Lagos.
- The successful candidate must have a strong hands-on background in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, with the commercial ability to identify business opportunities, develop client relationships and support revenue growth.
- This is a procurement-led commercial position. We are specifically looking for a professional who understands strategic sourcing, supplier management, vendor negotiations, tendering, procurement processes and supply-chain operations, while also possessing the confidence and network to contribute to business development.

Responsibilities
Procurement & Supply Chain:
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from requirement identification and supplier sourcing through quotation evaluation, negotiation, purchase and delivery.
- Source and evaluate local and international suppliers based on quality, pricing, capacity, reliability and delivery timelines.
- Develop and maintain a robust supplier and vendor database.
- Obtain, review and analyse RFQs, RFPs and supplier quotations.
- Conduct market research and price benchmarking to identify competitive sourcing opportunities.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties and other commercial conditions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, OEMs, distributors and contractors.
- Conduct supplier prequalification, due diligence and capability assessments.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues relating to quality, pricing, delivery and service.
- Manage purchase orders, procurement documentation and supplier contracts.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, cost optimisation and improved procurement efficiency.
- Coordinate with Finance, Operations, Logistics and other internal teams to ensure timely fulfilment of procurement requirements.
- Monitor procurement timelines and identify potential supply-chain risks or delays.
- Support tendering, bid preparation, vendor registration and prequalification exercises.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier information and procurement reports.
Business Development & Commercial Growth:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across relevant industries and client segments.
- Research prospective clients, projects, tenders and procurement requirements.
- Build and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients, particularly Procurement, Supply Chain, Commercial and Project decision-makers.
- Leverage supplier, OEM, contractor and industry relationships to identify commercial opportunities.
- Prepare and support commercial proposals, quotations and tender submissions.
- Participate in client meetings, presentations, negotiations and commercial discussions.
- Follow up on business opportunities and submitted proposals through to conversion.
- Identify potential strategic partnerships that can strengthen the company's market position and service offering.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities and industry developments to identify new growth opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree/HND in Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Logistics, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or a related discipline.
- 7–10 years' relevant experience, with substantial experience in procurement, sourcing or supply chain management.
- Demonstrable experience in supplier sourcing, vendor management, quotation analysis and commercial negotiations.
- Experience handling RFQs/RFPs, tenders, purchase orders and procurement documentation.
- Previous experience in business development, sales, account management or commercial activities.
- Experience in Oil & Gas, Energy, Marine, Engineering, Construction, Industrial Services, FMCG or related sectors is an advantage.
- Professional certification such as CIPS, CIPSMN, CPSM, CSCP or equivalent is an advantage.
