Academy Teacher

About the Role
- The Solynta Academy Teacher is responsible for the day-to-day running of the Solynta Academy school, ensuring that students have a safe, organised and positive learning environment.
- The teacher will oversee students learning via our online platform,facilities and parent communication, while ensuring that the Academy’s daily programme runs smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Centre Operations:
- Manage the day-to-day running of the school
- Ensure classes, breaks and after-school activities run according to schedule.
- Ensure the school is clean, organised and ready for learning each day.
- Monitor power, internet, computers and other equipment.
Student Management:
- Ensure students are safe, well supervised and properly supported.
- Maintain a calm, respectful and disciplined learning environment.
- Monitor student attendance, behaviour and general wellbeing.
- Ensure students are actively participating in their learning.
Parent Communication:
- Serve as the main point of contact for parents at the centre.
- Respond to parent questions and concerns promptly.
- Provide regular updates on student progress and centre activities.
- Build positive relationships with parents and families.
Student Progress:
- Identify students who may need additional support.
- Ensure students are progressing appropriately through their learning.
- Support the successful delivery of academic and technology projects.
Enrolment & Centre Growth:
- Welcome prospective parents and students to the school
- Conduct school tours and explain the Solynta Academy experience.
- Support student onboarding and enrolment.
- Represent Solynta Academy positively within the local community.
What We Are Looking For
- 3–5 years’ experience in teaching
- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable using computers, digital learning platforms and AI tools.
- Ability to solve problems quickly and take initiative.
- Experience managing teachers or a team is an advantage.
- Applicant must reside on Lagos Island.
Salary
N160,000 / Month.
