Group Finance Manager

Job Summary
- The Group Finance Manager will serve as the principal responsible for the financial management of the Group. The role requires a highly competent, hands-on finance professional who can personally manage the day-to-day accounting work while also providing strategic financial insight, commercial analysis, cash-flow control and decision support to management.
- The Group Finance Manager will establish and operate a disciplined, technology-enabled finance function capable of supporting two distinct businesses: The role holder must maintain separate books, bank reconciliations, budgets, management accounts and financial records for each business while also producing a consolidated management view for the Group.
Responsibilities
The Group Finance Manager will be expected to:
- Establish reliable and separate accounting records for the two businesses
- Give management an accurate and timely view of the financial position of each business and the Group.
- Maintain strict control over cash, expenditure, collections, payments and financial commitments.
- Build and maintain a rolling 13-week cash-flow forecast for both businesses.
- Ensure that revenue billed, collected and recorded is fully reconciled.
- Establish strong financial controls without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
- Ensure complete and timely tax, audit and statutory compliance.
- Provide the financial modelling and commercial analysis required to support growth, pricing, investment and funding decisions.
- Build a scalable finance operating system that can support rapid business growth and the eventual recruitment of additional finance personnel.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree / HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
- 8-10 years’ relevant finance/accounting experience, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial position.
- Professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA or equivalent is strongly preferred.
- Experience in telecommunications, ISP, technology, FMCG or another subscription-based business is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian accounting and taxation requirements.
- Experience with accounting/ERP software.
