Job Description

HR Assistant

Location: Sagamu, Ogun

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary 

  • The HR Assistant will provide administrative and operational support to the Human Resources Department, assisting with recruitment, employee records, attendance, leave administration, onboarding, staff welfare, and general HR activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the recruitment and selection process, including job postings, CV screening, interview scheduling, and candidate communication.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee personnel records and HR databases.
  • Assist with employee onboarding, documentation, orientation, and induction.
  • Monitor staff attendance, lateness, absenteeism, and leave records.
  • Process and maintain employee leave applications and records.
  • Prepare HR letters, memos, notices, reports, and other personnel documentation.
  • Assist with payroll preparation by providing accurate attendance, leave, and employee information.
  • Respond to routine employee enquiries and direct complex matters to the HR Manager.
  • Assist in coordinating staff training, meetings, welfare activities, and other HR programs.
  • Support the implementation and communication of company HR policies and procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information.
  • Assist with disciplinary and employee relations documentation as directed by the HR Manager.
  • Perform other HR and administrative duties assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
  • 1–2years of experience in an HR or administrative role.
  • Good knowledge of basic HR practices and procedures.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn.

Salary

N200,000 per month.
