Operations Intern

Role Overview
- The Operations Intern will support the day-to-day operational activities of the company, including transaction monitoring, customer support coordination, reconciliation, compliance checks, reporting, and process documentation.
- The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, analytical, willing to learn, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced fintech environment.
Key Responsibilities
Transaction Operations:
- Assist in monitoring and processing customer transactions across company products and services.
- Track transaction inflows and outflows and flag delays or discrepancies.
- Assist with investigating transaction-related issues and escalating unresolved cases.
- Support transaction reconciliation and maintenance of accurate operational records.
- Monitor transactions for exceptions and promptly escalate issues to the appropriate team members.
- Assist with transaction and settlement-related documentation.
Customer Support & Service Operations:
- Support the Customer Success team in resolving customer operational issues and inquiries.
- Assist with customer account updates and verification requests.
- Monitor support tickets and help ensure customer requests are attended to within established timelines.
- Follow up on outstanding customer-related operational issues.
- Maintain accurate records of customer requests, resolutions, and escalations.
Compliance & Risk Support:
- Assist with customer verification and KYC processes.
- Support the review of customer and transaction information in line with internal procedures.
- Flag unusual transactions or activities for review by the appropriate team.
- Assist in maintaining compliance and operational documentation.
- Support the preparation of documents and records required for internal reviews and audits.
Operational Reporting:
- Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Update and maintain operational trackers and spreadsheets.
- Record and organize information relating to transactions, settlements, reconciliations, and escalations.
- Support the tracking of key operational metrics.
- Assist with basic data analysis and identification of operational trends or discrepancies.
Process & Documentation Support:
- Assist in documenting operational procedures and workflows.
- Support the maintenance and updating of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Identify recurring operational issues and bring them to the attention of supervisors.
- Assist with testing and implementation of new operational tools and systems.
- Support process improvement and automation initiatives as assigned.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Operations, Customer Success, Compliance, Finance, Product, and Technology teams.
- Support communication and coordination between teams on operational matters.
- Assist with operational projects and initiatives as assigned.
- Coordinate with relevant internal teams to ensure timely resolution of operational issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 0–1 year of experience in Operations, Customer Support, Banking, Fintech, or a related field.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to follow established processes and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of fintech operations, payments, foreign exchange, or financial services is an added advantage.

Salary
N100,000 per month.
