Radiation Therapist

Job Summary
- We are seeking an experienced Radiation Therapist to provide safe, accurate, and patient-centred radiotherapy services.
- The successful candidate will take specialist responsibility for radiotherapy simulation, treatment preparation, image management, and technical training of radiography staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver radiotherapy treatments according to approved treatment plans, clinical protocols, and radiation safety standards.
- Manage the complete radiotherapy simulation process, including patient preparation, positioning, immobilisation, CT simulation, image acquisition, and image transfer.
- Ensure accurate patient positioning and immobilisation for treatment planning and reproducibility.
- Manage simulation images and coordinate their transfer for treatment planning and treatment delivery.
- Work closely with Radiation Oncologists, Medical Physicists, Dosimetrists, and other oncology professionals.
- Support equipment checks, quality assurance, radiation safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Train, coach, and provide technical guidance to radiographers on simulation procedures and best practices.
- Support the development and standardisation of radiotherapy simulation workflows and protocols.
Requirements
- Degree/HND or recognised professional qualification in Radiation Therapy/Radiotherapy with relevant professional registration/licensing.
- 3–5 years of relevant radiotherapy experience, preferably within an oncology centre.
- Strong hands-on experience in CT simulation, patient positioning, immobilisation, simulation imaging, and image transfer.
- Knowledge of modern radiotherapy techniques and treatment workflows.
- Experience with LINAC, CT Simulation, IGRT, IMRT/VMAT is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to train and mentor radiographers and improve technical competency.
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety, quality assurance, and patient safety.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Salary
N400,000 - N650,000 monthly.
