Job Summary
- The Hotel Security Personnel is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and peaceful environment for hotel guests, employees, visitors, and property.
- The role involves monitoring hotel premises, preventing security incidents, responding to emergencies, enforcing hotel security procedures, and promptly reporting any suspicious or unsafe activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Patrol the hotel premises, entrances, parking areas, guest floors, and other designated areas regularly.
- Monitor CCTV cameras, security alarms, and access points.
- Prevent and detect theft, vandalism, unauthorized access, and other security threats.
- Control access to restricted areas and verify visitors when necessary.
- Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, disturbances, and alarms.
- Assist guests and employees with security and safety-related concerns.
- Maintain a visible security presence throughout the hotel.
- Record and report all incidents, accidents, suspicious activities, and security breaches.
- Conduct regular checks of doors, windows, emergency exits, fire equipment, and other safety facilities.
- Ensure that hotel security policies and procedures are properly followed.
- Assist management and emergency services during fires, medical emergencies, evacuations, and other incidents.
- Safeguard hotel property, equipment, guest belongings, and confidential information.
- Handle difficult or disruptive situations calmly and professionally.
- Maintain proper communication with the Security Supervisor and other hotel departments.
- Perform any other security-related duties assigned by management.
Requirements
- Minimum of SSCE / WAEC or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience in hotel security, private security, or a related position is an advantage.
- Security training or relevant certification is preferred.
- Physically fit and able to remain alert for extended periods.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Honest, trustworthy, disciplined, and responsible.
- Willingness to work shifts, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
