Accountant

Summary
- We are currently looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Experienced Accountant to manage our financial operations, Inventory management, track transport and fleet expenses, and ensure strict financial compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of weekly and monthly budgets
- Preparation financial reports to monitor and track obligations and expenditures
- Ensuring that proper and accurate statutory returns are prepared in a timely manner
- Filling of documents and reconciling statements
- Maintain accounting records by making copies
- Preparing and ensuring that all invoices are recorded
- Raising and posting sales invoice, cash receipts, cash payment vouchers, payroll etc.
- Following up client payments, ensuring they are made on time
- Perform periodic bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
- Process payments and maintain proper documentation for all disbursements.
- Generate and post sales invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers.
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including invoices and transactions
- Conduct inventory counts and reconciles stock variances
- Computation and remittance of transaction taxes (WTH and VAT)
- Computation and remittance of statutory deduction from payroll (P.A.Y.E, PENSION)
- Assist in audit (Tax audit LIRS and FIRS/External audit)
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Minimum of a B.Sc./HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of proven accounting experience, preferably within the logistics, transport, haulage, or supply chain industry.
- Professional Qualifications: Professional certification (ACA, ACCA) is compulsory.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, financial modeling) and hands-on experience with Tally accounting software
- Competencies: Strong analytical mind, high integrity, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a high-volume, dynamic operating environment.
Salary
N500,000 monthly gross (Negotiable based on experience).
