Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Civil Engineer / Civil Engineering Manager to lead and manage all civil engineering activities across our projects.
This role is critical to ensuring that all civil works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and in compliance with engineering standards and client requirements.
The successful candidate will oversee civil engineering design, site execution, subcontractors and technical coordination with other engineering disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the planning, execution and supervision of all civil and structural works on projects.
Review and approve civil and structural designs, drawings, calculations and specifications.
Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, process and instrumentation teams to ensure proper integration of civil works.
Supervise site activities including earthworks, foundations, concrete works, drainage, buildings and structural installations.
Ensure all civil works meet quality, safety, regulatory and client standards.
Manage civil subcontractors, suppliers and site engineers to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
Monitor project progress, resolve site challenges and prevent delays.
Support cost control, BOQs, variations and procurement for civil works.
Prepare technical reports, site progress reports and documentation.
Provide leadership, mentoring and guidance to the civil engineering team
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 3–4 years’ post-qualification experience in civil engineering, preferably within an EPC or construction environment.
Strong experience in site supervision, foundations, concrete works and structural construction.
Ability to read, interpret and review engineering drawings and specifications.
Experience managing subcontractors and site teams.
Knowledge of Nigerian building codes, construction standards and HSE requirements.
Professional certification (COREN or NSE) is an added advantage.
