Finance Accountant
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Job Summary
- A Finance (or Financial) Accountant ensures the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of an organization’s financial information.
- They support statutory reporting, internal decision‑making, and long‑term financial planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement) and statutory accounts.
- Collect, organize, and analyze financial data to assess financial health and identify trends.
- Manage budgets and forecasting, including variance analysis and financial projections.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal financial policies.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor queries.
- Maintain accurate financial records, including reconciliations, journals, accruals, prepayments, and fixed asset management.
- Track KPIs such as profit margins, growth rates, and inventory turnover.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in financial reporting and accounting software.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Communication skills for presenting financial insights to stakeholder.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional certifications is an added advantage.
- Experience with financial reporting, audits, and compliance processes as well as experience in an audit firm with 5 years working experience.
