Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head, Financial Control to lead all aspects of our financial and fiscal operations.
This role is critical to the company’s long-term success and will provide financial leadership across planning, investment, budgeting, compliance, and reporting functions.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Leadership:
Provide financial leadership in alignment with the company’s overall strategy.
Serve as a key advisor to the Managing Director on financial planning and business performance.
Design and implement financial procedures and systems that drive efficiency and growth.
Ensure the finance unit is adequately resourced and effectively structured for optimal performance.
Financial Planning & Analysis:
Oversee the development and implementation of budgets and long-term financial plans.
Conduct financial analysis to support business decision-making and performance tracking.
Lead the formulation and review of investment strategies to achieve desired outcomes.
Monitor cash flow, control expenses, and guide cost optimization initiatives.
Compliance & Reporting:
Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory financial requirements.
Supervise the timely preparation of financial statements, investor reports, and special analyses.
Maintain accurate financial records in line with GAAP and other best practices.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Support other departments with financial insights and data-driven recommendations.
Review departmental plans and reports to ensure alignment with financial goals.
Drive interdepartmental collaboration through regular business performance reviews.
Project & Investment Oversight:
Collaborate with project and construction teams to assess profitability and feasibility.
Participate in procurement-related financial decisions and monitor ongoing project costs.
Conduct periodic site visits to ensure value is delivered in line with financial projections.
Regulatory & Stakeholder Engagement:
Liaise with regulators, auditors, and financial stakeholders.
Represent the finance unit in management, board, and strategy meetings.
Lead the development of financial governance frameworks and compliance practices.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
Professional certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA) required; MBA is an added advantage.
Minimum of 10 years’ progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in leadership.
Strong track record in financial planning, budgeting, investment analysis, and risk management.
Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Must be a chattered accountant, Experience in real estate is added advantage.

Salary
N500,000 - N800,000 / Month.
