Logistics Specialist Intern
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Description
- The Logistics Specialist Intern supports the team in the execution of logistics operations while meeting the required delivery dates, service level and safety requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide support for transport requests and monitor delivery dates to achieve on-time delivery
- Support equipment loadout plans per planning standard operating procedures
- Monitor shipment/truck routings, leverage consolidation/cargo optimization, and maximize backload opportunities
- Review work orders, monitor shipment execution and track shipment movements
- Identify logistics network improvement projects or opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with the international transport regulations.
- Track cargo status and monitor performance
- Update Import and Export systems.
Exposures & Experiences
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply chain, Procurement or Business Administration or any related social science field of study.
- A recent graduate not more than 2years post-graduation
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft office tools.
- Must have completed NYSC.
- Knowledge of logistics rules, regulations and processes in Nigeria.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
- Working knowledge of SAP is a plus.
- Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic industry.
