Job Summary
- Due to increasing activities, our client urgently needs the services of a drivers with a minimum of 5 yrs experience.
- The ideal candidate must have a current drivers license and must have pass all lagos State drivers tests. Candidates living within Ikeja would have an advantage.
- A Driver is a person employed to drive the Hotel’s Vehicle, deliver or collect goods or mailings.
- Drivers must be able to endure long hours driving, carry out vehicle maintenance checks and interact with clients in a professional conduct.
- They should also practice safety and health regulations to protect themselves and other people on the road.
Key Job Roles
- BrowseCareersTransporting guests from one place to the other. For example from airports to Hotels and vice versa.
- Carrying out vehicle maintenance checks.
- Delivering packages to customers in a timely manner.
- Picking up office purchases or other administrative needs.
- Utilizing navigation apps to find the most optimal route.
- Arranging for vehicle repairs when necessary.
- Updating monthly mileage records.
- Interacting with Guests in a professional manner
- Working at night and on weekends.
- Maintaining an organized travel schedule.
- Ensuring that vehicles have sufficient gas and are always ready for use.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience as a Driver
- A valid driver’s license
- A clean driving record
- Minimum visual acuity of 20/50 (or corrected to 20/50)
- Familiarity with GPS devices
- Knowledge of area roads and neighbourhoods
- Ability to lift heavy packages and luggage
- Availability to occasionally take weekend and night shifts
- A polite and professional disposition
- Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)
