Accounts Payable (AP) Accountant
Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices, payments, and supplier reconciliations.
- Manage statutory payments, including PAYE, Pension, VAT, and Withholding Tax.
- Oversee petty cash, bank reconciliations, and cash flow monitoring.
- Prepare accounts payable aging reports, commercial reports, and payment schedules.
- Monitor POS settlements and resolve payment discrepancies with banking partners.
- Ensure compliance with financial controls, policies, and audit requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting or financial reporting.
- Retail experience is an added advantage.
- Professional certification in progress (ICAN/ACCA) is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as Zoho Books, Sage, or ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills.
- High levels of integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality
