Job Summary
We are looking to hire a highly motivated and technically grounded Business Development & Technical Operations Associate to support the company’s growth in both existing and new markets.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying business opportunities, coordinating the tendering process, engaging OEMs and manufacturers, and overseeing delivery logistics for products and services across the oil and gas value chain, petroleum distribution, government supply, rig support, chemical/fluid supply, and marine services.
The job title captures both the strategic sales and operational scope of the role. It signals business development expertise and technical competence.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and pursue new business opportunities with government agencies, IOCs, and EPC contractors.
Prepare and submit EOIs, RFQs, and tenders in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Liaise with local and international manufacturers for procurement of production chemicals, drilling fluids, and marine support equipment.
Track and manage project delivery schedules and ensure timely execution of supply contracts.
Engage and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in the oil and gas sector.
Conduct market research to monitor trends, pricing, and competitor activities.
Support the operational team in coordinating logistics and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
Provide technical and commercial input during client engagements and proposal development.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or related field.
2–5 years of experience in the oil & gas industry (business development, tendering, field operations, or supply chain.
Strong understanding of petroleum product supply, drilling fluids, and offshore/onshore operations.
Proven experience in responding to public or private sector procurement requests (EOIs, RFQs, RFPs).
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); ERP or CRM systems experience is a plus.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and deliver results under pressure.
Salary
N250,000 - N300,000 / Month.
