Job Summary
We are seeking for a highly skilled and experienced Instrumentation Technician to support the design, installation, maintenance, and optimization of instrumentation and control systems within LPG plant operations.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, proven field experience in Nigeria’s LPG industry, and must have professional certifications.
Key Responsibilities
Design, install, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot instrumentation and control systems
Ensure optimal performance of sensors, transmitters, control valves, analyzers, and PLC/DCS systems
Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance plans for instrumentation equipment
Supervise installation, testing, commissioning, and startup activities
Interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, cause & effect charts, and technical drawings
Ensure compliance with Nigerian regulatory requirements, industry codes, and safety standards
Conduct fault diagnostics and root cause analysis on instrumentation failures
Coordinate with operations, electrical, and mechanical teams to ensure system integration
Prepare technical reports, maintenance records, and documentation
Support audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance activities
Ensure adherence to HSE policies and safe work practices
Travel to production affiliate office/facility locations for onsite support or rollout of new global support initiatives
Proficient in data collection and analysis with common database and software data analysis tools.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor/ HND degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related discipline
Minimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience in the LPG industry
Strong experience with instrumentation systems used in gas facilities
Proficiency in PLC, SCADA, and DCS systems
Solid understanding of control systems, process automation, and field instrumentation
Knowledge of relevant international standards (IEC, ISA, API)
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Salary
N300,000 Monthly Gross.
