Audit Associate

Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Audit Associate with prior experience in a professional audit firm to support the planning and execution of audit engagements across diverse client portfolios.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical knowledge of auditing standards, financial reporting, and internal control evaluation while ensuring compliance with applicable accounting and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in planning and execution of statutory and internal audit assignments.
Prepare, analyze, and review financial statements and supporting accounting records.
Perform audit testing and substantive procedures in line with audit programs.
Identify financial risks, errors, and internal control deficiencies, and communicate findings appropriately.
Prepare and maintain accurate audit working papers and documentation.
Support the preparation of audit reports, management letters, and audit deliverables.
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and professional ethics.
Liaise with clients to obtain required audit information and resolve audit queries.
Meet engagement timelines while maintaining high-quality audit documentation.
Requirements & Qualifications
B.Sc / HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 2 years’ audit experience in a professional audit or accounting firm (mandatory).
Strong knowledge of financial statement preparation and analysis.
Working knowledge of IFRS and auditing standards.
ICAN or ICAN-in-view is an added advantage.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting skills.

Salary
N180,000 - N200,000 monthly.
