Role Summary
Own the day-to-day operations of a premium salon, ensuring standards are enforced, teams perform professionally, clients receive consistent service, and the business runs smoothly without constant escalation. The Operations Manager is fully accountable for the daily running of the salon.
This is a hands-on leadership role with clear authority over operations, people management, service execution, and operational decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Execution
● Own daily salon operations and workflow end-to-end
● Ensure services are delivered in line with Bloom-approved protocols
● Coordinate front desk, technical teams, and support functions
● Troubleshoot operational issues calmly and decisively
● Identify gaps and implement corrective actions
People Management & Accountability
● Enforce attendance, punctuality, responsiveness, and conduct standards
● Address behavioural and performance issues promptly and fairly
● Lead onboarding and provide daily operational guidance
● Motivate teams through structure, clarity, and accountability
Client Experience & Issue Resolution
● Uphold premium client experience standards at all times
● Handle and resolve client complaints professionally
● Ensure booking accuracy and smooth client flow
● Escalate only high-risk or exceptional issues to the MD
Facilities, Hygiene & Inventory Oversight
● Ensure the salon is clean, organised, and compliant with hygiene standards
● Oversee equipment readiness and maintenance needs
● Coordinate with the Inventory Analyst on stock risks and usage issues
Reporting & Business Visibility
● Collect operational inputs from Client Services, Client Relations, Finance, and Inventory
● Prepare concise weekly and monthly operational snapshots covering:
○ Revenue actuals vs targets (factual, not defensive)
○ Revenue breakdown by service and retail
○ High-performing services, products, and staff
○ Staff attendance, productivity, and behavioural issues
○ Client complaints and resolution status
○ Inventory and operational risks
● Focus on trends and signals, not long reports
Who We’re Looking For
● Proven experience managing operations in a service-led business (beauty, hospitality, retail, or similar)
● Strong people management and decision-making skills
● Calm, firm leadership style with the ability to enforce standards
● Highly organised, reliable, and detail-oriented
● Comfortable working in a structured, performance-driven environment
● Able to solve problems independently and take ownership
Experience in the beauty or hospitality industry is an advantage, but not essential.
