Description
To support its ambitious growth agenda, the company seeks to recruit a highly competent, disciplined, and trustworthy business leader to assume the role of Assistant General Manager / Chief Operating Officer (COO).
This role is for a professional who can run the business with minimal supervision, deliver operating profit, and provide strong leadership across Sales, Marketing, Operations, supply chain/importation and Human Resources.
Role Summary
The AGM/COO will take ownership of day-to-day business operations in Nigeria, translating strategic direction from the Managing Director/Board into disciplined execution, measurable growth, and sustainable profitability.
Key Accountabiltiies
Overall business performance, including revenue growth, operating profit, and cash discipline
Strong leadership and control of a large pharmaceutical sales force
Sales execution quality, credit control, and collections
Operational efficiency across supply chain, warehousing, clearing, and distribution
People leadership, performance management, and organizational discipline
Compliance with NAFDAC, PCN, and internal governance standards.
Ideal candidates Profile
15 - 20 years experience in the Nigerian pharmaceutical industry
Minimum of 5 years in a senior commercial or general management role
Proven track record in sales leadership, profitability, and cost control
Strong competence in sales force management, demand generation, and collections
High integrity, strong follow-through, ownership mindset, and decision maturity
Able to act as the MD’s trusted and competent representative and run operations independently.
