Job Summary
HEMM Mechanics ensures the operational efficiency and safety of heavy machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, dump trucks, loaders, graders, and cranes.
These professionals typically work in construction sites, mining operations, quarries, infrastructure projects, and equipment workshops.

Compactors and rollers

Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Inspection:
Perform routine preventive maintenance (oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication).
Inspect engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with site regulations.
Diagnosis & Troubleshooting:
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
Use diagnostic tools and software for fault detection.
Interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Repair & Overhaul:
Repair or replace defective components (engines, gearboxes, hydraulic pumps).
Perform engine overhauls and major rebuilds.
Weld, fabricate, and modify machine parts when necessary.
Documentation:
Maintain service logs and maintenance records.
Prepare breakdown reports.
Recommend spare parts and repair schedules.
Safety Compliance:
Follow workplace safety standards.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE).
Ensure machinery meets operational safety requirements.
Requirements
Experience: Minimum of 10 years
Qualification: OND, SSCE, NECO, Trade Tests 1, 2, 3.
