Job Summary
- We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Optometrist to join our clinical team.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive eye examinations, diagnosing visual conditions, prescribing corrective lenses, and providing appropriate management for ocular disorders while ensuring excellent patient care experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and vision assessments.
- Diagnose refractive errors and common ocular conditions.
- Prescribe corrective lenses, contact lenses, and low vision aids.
- Detect ocular diseases and refer complex cases appropriately.
- Educate patients on eye care, treatment plans, and preventive measures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
- Ensure compliance with professional and ethical standards.
Requirements
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from a recognized institution.
- Valid practicing license.
- 2–3 years post-qualification clinical experience (hospital setting preferred).
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and patient counselling skills.
- Proficiency in the use of optometric diagnostic equipment.
- Good documentation and basic computer skills (EMR knowledge is an advantage).
- Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-focused mindset.
