Regulatory Compliance Executive

Location: Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

Reporting Line: Head of Corporate Affairs

Job Summary

  • The Corporate Affairs Executive – Statutory Compliance will be responsible for managing and coordinating all regulatory approvals, licenses, inspections, renewals, and technical certifications required for the company’s operations in Nigeria.
  • The role ensures full compliance with statutory bodies including:
  • National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA)
  • Standards Organization of Nigeria (SON)
  • Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN)
  • Federal & State Fire Services
  • Ministry of Labor & Employment
  • Other relevant regulatory authorities


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure full compliance with environmental laws and regulations.
  • Coordinate Environmental Audit Reports and Environmental Management Plans.
  • Manage permits relating to waste disposal, emissions, effluent discharge, and hazardous materials.
  • Facilitate inspections and resolve compliance observations promptly.
  • Track and process renewal of environmental permits and approvals.
  • Coordinate inspection and renewal of Fire Safety Certificates from State Fire Services.
  • Ensure facilities meet statutory fire prevention and protection standards.
  • Liaise with fire authorities during inspections and audits.
  • Monitor validity and renewal timelines for fire certifications.
  • Coordinate calibration and certification of weighing scales and measurement equipment.
  • Liaise with Legal Metrology/Weights & Measures authorities.
  • Maintain proper certification and inspection documentation.
  • Manage product certification processes with Standards Organisation of Nigeria.
  • Ensure compliance with the Mandatory Conformity Assessment Programme (MANCAP).
  • Coordinate factory inspections and product testing.
  • Ensure proper use of certification marks on approved products.
  • Track renewals of SONCAP/MANCAP certificates.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Engineering, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • 5–8 years’ experience in regulatory compliance, factory administration, or corporate affairs.
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian environmental, safety, and industrial regulations.
  • Experience working with government regulatory agencies.

Salary

N600,000 Gross Monthly.
