Job Overview
- The Operations Manager will oversee and coordinate daily manufacturing and recycling operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, safety, and quality standards.
- This role is responsible for optimizing processes, managing teams, controlling costs, and ensuring that operational goals align with the company’s business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and manage daily production and recycling operations
- Ensure efficient use of resources, materials, and manpower
- Monitor production output, quality, and operational performance
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures
- Supervise plant staff, including shift planning, performance management, and training
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Manage maintenance schedules for machinery and equipment
- Identify operational risks and implement improvement initiatives
- Prepare and present operational reports to management
- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and business development teams
Required Competencies & Skills:
- Strong understanding of manufacturing and recycling operations
- Excellent leadership and people management skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Knowledge of operational planning, cost control, and process optimization
- Good understanding of safety and environmental standards
- Excellent communication and reporting skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production targets
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Management, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in manufacturing or recycling operations
- Experience working in a recycling or industrial manufacturing environment is highly desirable
- Professional certifications in operations management are an advantage.
Salary
N250,000 - N300,000 per month.
