Mechanical / Electrical Engineer

Role Summary
- The M&E Engineer oversees the design, installation, and optimization of mechanical (HVAC, plumbing, fire suppression) and electrical (power distribution, lighting, controls) infrastructure.
- This role bridges the gap between hardware and electronic control to ensure operational efficiency, safety compliance, and system reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- System Design & Documentation: Develop detailed 2D/3D CAD models, electrical schematics, and piping layouts for integrated systems.
- Installation Oversight: Coordinate with contractors to supervise the installation of HVAC, power distribution units, and industrial machinery.
- Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose complex malfunctions involving mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components to minimize downtime.
- Project Management: Manage project lifecycles, including budgeting, resource allocation, and meeting strict delivery timelines.
- Compliance & Safety: Enforce industry standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA, ASHRAE) and conduct rigorous safety risk assessments.
- Performance Optimization: Identify and implement energy-efficient technologies or automation to reduce operational costs.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred).
- Experience: 2-5 years in M&E system design, construction or facility management.
- Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license or industry-specific certifications (e.g., CEM for Energy Management) is an added advantage.
- Location: Based at the project sites.
Technical Proficiency:
- Software: Expert-level knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Revit.
- Systems: Hands-on experience with PLCs (Siemens/Allen-Bradley), HVAC, and power distribution.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving, project management, and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
