Job Summary
- We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage financial records, oversee real estate-specific accounting and tax compliance, and provide accurate financial insights to support business decisions.
- The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in property accounting, tax management, and financial reporting within the real estate sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with accounting standards.
- Maintain accurate general ledger records for real estate transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, leases, and rental income.
- Reconcile bank accounts, escrow accounts, and property-related ledgers.
- Monitor cash flow, revenue recognition, and expenses across multiple properties and projects.
- Manage accounting for rental income, service charges, property management fees, and lease agreements.
- Track capital expenditures, property development costs, depreciation, and ensure accurate cost allocation.
- Handle all tax matters, including CIT, VAT, WHT, and PAYE, and ensure compliance with Nigerian tax regulations.
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of tax returns, statutory remittances, and regulatory filings.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and strengthen internal financial controls.
- Prepare audit documentation and provide financial analysis and reports to management and investors.1.
Requirements & Qualifications
- BSc/HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, comprising 2 years as a Team Lead and 3 years in a staff role, with proven exposure to real estate or property accounting.
- A professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and statutory compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- High attention to detail, integrity, and ability to work independently.
- Strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills.

Salary
N350,000 - N450,000 per month.
