General Dentist
Location: Lagos
Responsibilities
Patient Care & Treatment:
- Perform comprehensive oral exams, diagnose conditions, and create treatment plans.
- Provide advanced procedures: root canals, crowns, bridges, implants, extractions, fillings, cosmetic treatments.
- Manage complex cases, including patients with disabilities or medical complexities.
- Administer anesthesia and prescribe medications.
- Review staff reports and evaluate treatment outcomes.
- Contribute to service development and implementation of clinical standards.
Quality & Compliance:
- Maintain high standards of infection control, hygiene, and regulatory compliance.
- Accurately document patient records, treatment plans, and follow-ups.
- Participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives.
Patient Education & Communication:
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and treatment options.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for comprehensive care.
Professional Development:
- Stay updated on new technologies, techniques, and research.
- Participate in continuous training, appraisals, and personal development planning.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Extensive clinical experience, often including experience with complex or special needs patients.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail, steady hand-eye coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with digital imaging, dental software, and potentially telehealth platforms.
