Position Overview
The Financial Controller will oversee all financial and accounting operations of the organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and strong internal controls. This role plays a critical part in strategic decision-making, financial planning, and safeguarding the company's financial health and long-term performance.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Analyze financial performance, trends, variances, and KPIs to support strategic decisions.
- Ensure full compliance with IFRS/GAAP and applicable accounting standards.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead annual budgeting and periodic re-forecasting processes.
- Partner with department heads to monitor and manage budget performance.
- Develop financial models and scenario analyses to support business planning.
Accounting Operations
- Oversee day-to-day accounting activities including AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger.
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end close processes.
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital requirements.
- Oversee banking relationships, payments, and treasury activities.
- Recommend strategies to optimize cash flow and mitigate financial risk.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Supervise, mentor, and develop finance team members.
- Partner with senior leadership to provide financial insights for strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to improve financial processes and outcomes.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- СРА, АССА, CMA, or similar professional certification is highly desirable.
- 5-7+ years of progressive experience in accounting/finance, including leadership roles.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems and financial software.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
- Solid experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
