Description
- The Head, Risk Management will be responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring, and mitigating risks across the Bank.
- The role will provide independent oversight of credit, operational, market, liquidity, compliance, and strategic risks while ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Risk Management:
- Develop and maintain the Bank's risk management framework.
- Establish risk policies, procedures, and risk appetite statements.
- Conduct enterprise-wide risk assessments.
Credit Risk Management:
- Review and monitor credit exposures and portfolio quality.
- Assess lending risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
- Monitor loan performance and emerging credit risks.
Operational Risk Management:
- Identify operational risks across business units.
- Monitor loss events and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure adequate controls are maintained across operations.
Regulatory Compliance & Governance:
- Ensure compliance with CBN risk management guidelines.
- Support regulatory examinations and audits.
- Prepare risk reports for Executive Management and the Board.
Monitoring & Reporting:
- Develop key risk indicators and risk dashboards.
- Monitor risk trends and emerging threats.
- Present risk reports and recommendations to management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Banking, Statistics, or a related discipline.
- Professional certifications such as FRM, CRM, ACA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent are advantageous.
- 7–10 years' experience in risk management within banking or financial services.
- Strong knowledge of credit risk, operational risk, enterprise risk management, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience interacting with regulators and auditors.

Salary
N500,000 - N750,000 per month.
