Role Summary
- Our client is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Head of Accounts & Administration to oversee the full finance function and administrative operations of the organization.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, strict regulatory compliance, and efficient office administration.
- This role requires a self-driven professional capable of working independently, maintaining error-free financial records, and providing strategic financial insights to support business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee full financial accounting, reporting, and general ledger management
- Manage accounts payable, receivable, and cash flow operations
- Ensure compliance with all tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate audits and manage relationships with external stakeholders (auditors, banks, regulators)
- Provide financial analysis, forecasting, and strategic insights to management
- Supervise administrative operations and ensure office efficiency
- Manage payroll processes, employee records, and statutory remittances
- Maintain strong internal controls, accurate records, and audit readiness at all times
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Financial Accuracy & Reporting:
- 100% accuracy in financial statements
- Timely submission of monthly financial reports
- Zero material audit adjustments
Compliance & Tax:
- 100% on-time statutory filings (VAT, PAYE, WHT, etc.)
- Zero regulatory penalties or fines
Record Keeping & Systems:
- Up-to-date, audit-ready financial records at all times
- Proper documentation for all transactions
- Zero missing or incomplete financial records
Administration Efficiency:
- Smooth and efficient office operations
- Accurate and up-to-date employee records
- Timely processing of pensions and insurance.
Key Requirements
- ICAN qualification (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and Nigerian tax regulations
- 5–8 years relevant post-qualification experience
- Prior experience in FMCG or a similar industry is an advantage
- Strong background in internal controls and audit
- Proven experience managing full finance operations independently
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Salary
N550,000 – N650,000 monthly.
