Finance Manager
Location: KM51, Ogun
Job Description
Cost Control:
- Track daily operational costs across slaughtering, processing, packaging, and distribution with a view to ascertaining production cost per unit of output and order.
- Identify and investigate discrepancies between standard and actual costs (materials, labour, utilities) of production.
- Partner closely with the Engineering Team on monthly review of Energy and
Maintenance Costs:
- Partner closely with Warehouse Team on inventory reconciliation, stock write- off and other reporting matters.
- Prepare monthly cost reports, gross margin analysis, SKU profitability and landed cost calculations.
- Support the preparation of monthly forecast and annual budget for the business unit, aligning with production targets and sales forecasts.
- Recommend efficiency improvements in energy use, labour allocation, and supply chain management.
Fixed Asset Accounting:
- Manage sub-fixed asset register for the slaughterhouse.
- Partner with the Production and Engineering Team on CAPEX requirement, raising and seeking approval for CAPEX.
- Own the end-to-end process of asset capitalisation, depreciation and write-off/disposal/retirement considering all necessary control procedures and approvals.
- Coordinate external and internal visitors for asset verification and/or valuation exercises.
Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; (ACA/ACCA/CIMA added advantage).
- Minimum of 5 years proven experience preferable in an FMCG Company.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing overheads, BOM (Bill of Materials), and product costing.
- Ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP and/or MS Nav 365), and Advance Ms Excel Skill.
