Financial Reporting Accountant (Financial Consulting)

Role Overview
- Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Reporting Accountant to join its growing team.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate financial reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting clients with insightful financial analysis to drive business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with applicable accounting standards (e.g., IFRS)
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support client decision-making
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records and reports
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Assist in the preparation of management reports and board packs
- Support audit processes by preparing required schedules and documentation
- Ensure compliance with tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to improve financial reporting processes
- Monitor financial performance and identify trends, risks, and opportunities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, preferably within a consulting firm or professional services environment
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar tools)
- Professional certification (ICAN/ACCA or in progress) is an added advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Salary
N300,000 - N500,000 monthly.
