Job Summary

• We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly analytical Accountant to oversee our daily financial operations, manage budget tracking, and ensure strict compliance with financial regulations.
• The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills, excellent proficiency with accounting software, and the ability to deliver accurate financial reporting to support key business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate, up-to-date daily ledger entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
• Payroll & Expense Management: Oversee monthly payroll processing, monitor staff expenses, and handle vendor payments efficiently.
• Tax Compliance: Prepare and file timely tax returns (including VAT, WHT, and PAYE) in strict accordance with relevant regulatory laws.
• Reconciliation: Perform routine bank, inventory, and ledger reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
• Budgeting & Cost Control: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and analyze variances to identify cost-saving opportunities.

Key Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc./HND) in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
• Professional Certification: Professional qualification in Accounting is highly preferred (or currently in view).
• Experience: 3–5 years of proven experience working as an Accountant or Financial Officer.

Technical Skills:

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or ERP systems).
• Core Competencies: Strong attention to detail, high ethical standards, and excellent analytical skills.
