Site Engineer
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all construction activities on site to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Monitor contractors, subcontractors, artisans, and suppliers to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and project plans.
- Conduct site inspections and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Monitor material usage and minimize wastage.
- Liaise with project managers, consultants, architects, and other stakeholders.
- Resolve technical issues arising during project execution.
- Ensure all construction works comply with relevant building codes and company standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Building Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of five (5) years' proven experience as a Site Engineer in a real estate and construction company.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, engineering principles, and project management.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant engineering software.
- Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
- Membership of a relevant professional body is an added advantage.
