Job Summary
Online Foodstuff Store Limited is seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Financial Officer to oversee the company’s day-to-day financial operations and provide reliable financial guidance to management.
The role will oversee bookkeeping, reporting, budgeting, cash flow, reconciliations, tax compliance, and internal controls, while ensuring accurate financial records using QuickBooks.
Key Responsibilities
Transaction Processing & Data Entry:
Enter daily financial transactions into the accounting system
Post sales invoices, receipts, bills, and expenses
Maintain accurate accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) records
Record petty cash transactions and staff reimbursements.
Reconciliations:
Perform bank, wallet, and cash reconciliations
Reconcile vendor statements and customer balances
Investigate and resolve transaction discrepancies.
Documentation & Controls:
Maintain proper supporting documents for all transactions
Ensure transactions follow approved SOPs and authorization limits
Prepare schedules and documentation for audits.
Operational Finance Support:
Track daily expenses and revenues
Assist with payroll preparation and statutory deductions
Support month-end close by preparing reconciliations and schedules.
Requirements & Qualifications
BSc/HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline.
Professional certification (ICAN/ACCA/ANAN) is an advantage.
Minimum of 3–5 years relevant experience in accounting/finance, preferably in retail, FMCG, logistics, or service-based businesses.
Strong working knowledge of
Strong reporting, reconciliation, and spreadsheet skills (Excel/Google Sheets).
High attention to detail and strong ethical standards.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines without sacrificing accuracy.
Salary
N200,000 - N250,000 monthly.
